– The 1st Suwon International Sewage Treatment & Toilet Show and the 6th World’s Toilet Leaders Forum
– Symposium to enhance technological competitiveness of exhibitors and export consultation to open new overseas channels
The 1st Suwon International Sewage Treatment & Toilet Show will be held at the Suwon Convention Center from June 13 for three days, leading Korea’s toilet culture and improving the technological competitiveness of sewage treatment and toilet companies. This event, which will help accomplish national water welfare and industrial development, will be concurrently held with the 6th World’s Toilet Leaders Forum and various auxiliary events like export consultation and symposiums will be held. Through this, synergy effect is expected to be created on top of technology enhancement of the exhibitors and the emphasis on the importance of the industry.
The World’s Toilet Leaders Forum, which has been playing a leading role in the distribution of advanced toilets and industrial development of the industry, has been held for the 6th time this year and has contributed to information sharing and cultural exchange in the global toilets industry in by inviting officials from the developing countries. About 200 people from 20 countries are expected to attend this year’s event, and with the theme “Toilet for All”, it will consist of keynote speeches from global scholars, special lectures and discussions.
Export consultation meeting will be held by inviting government agencies from developing countries and purchasing managers from construction companies to support the exhibitors with global entry in mind to find new sales channels. This will fulfill the role of global marketplace with opportunities of consulting and overseas business.
In the auxiliary event “Suwon Wastewater and Sewage Treatment Technology Symposium”, top experts in the advanced wastewater treatment will gather along with the book presentation given by the Ministry of Environment and Suwon City. Information exchange and discussion to establish and apply strategies of related companies will be set up with future goal to become a major knowledge platform for relevant officials in the local government, academia and industry. There will also be citizen solidarity and symposium hosted by water conservation movement headquarter with the mission to maintain water supply and secure water resource as a country of water shortage. By inviting active citizen movement activist, issues on water conservations will be brought up, and the general public may participate in this discussion.
The 11th School Toilet Improvement Symposium hosted by the Ministry of the Interior and Safety and Toilet Cultural Citizen Solidarity is expected to present the right improvement direction for school toilet. Also, with the theme of “safety”, ways to create safe toilet and the toilet trend 2020 will be presented in academia-industry cooperated toilet seminar.
In addition, the Korea Toilet Association will hold a workshop for quality control personnel of portable toilet group standard certified companies, and Suwon City and other local governments are providing training for public toilet managers.
On the last day of the event, special lectures in humanity from Unist Sciencewalden and Korea Toilet Research Lab will be given with the titles “Science, Arts and Humanities of Toilet” and “Changes in the World Begins from Toilet”, respectively
In addition, events that make toilet culture fun and easy to undertand are prepared with poop playground, exhibition of works from college students’ public toilet design competition prepare by Haewoojae Museum and invitational caricature drawing event by artists Smile Gogh and Mok Seok-ae.
